Dental implants are the most natural replacement for missing teeth that you can get. As a dentist, this is the restoration that I would choose to have in my own mouth. Our goal is for you to keep your teeth for life, but if something happens and you lose one or more teeth, our number one recommendation would be dental implant. We always want to provide the best dentistry available and implants are the best case scenario for missing teeth.
Implants are strong and they can last a lifetime because they don’t decay. The implant is placed in the bone and then the bone integrates into the implant. Then a crown is placed on top to replace the missing tooth.
Immediate placement dental implants are a wonderful thing. If you have to have a tooth extracted for some reason, we are able to place the implant on the same day. We love doing this because it allows the bone to integrate into the implant immediately and no extra surgery is required.
Conventional implants have the same end result as immediate placement but they require an extra step. This method is generally used when a patient already has a missing tooth and has decided to restore it with an implant. The conventional method requires an additional surgery to place the implant into the bone.
Mini implants are used when the patient doesn’t have any teeth. This type of implant is used to support a denture. If you are missing all of your teeth and need a full denture, we strongly recommend placing at least two implants to hold the denture in place.
If you are missing teeth, dental implants are the solution that can give you back a natural looking and fully functional smile. Please allow us to show you the benefits of dental implants.
