Teeth whitening has been around for many years and is a very popular way to enhance your smile. There are different methods for achieving the shade you want including the Tres White System, the Sapphire 1 Hour Bleaching System and the Kor Deep Bleaching System.
Teeth whitening cannot harm your teeth as it is nothing more than hydrogen peroxide gel. When you come into our office and express interest in teeth whitening, we will explain the options and help you decide which method will work best for you. These methods work 99% of the time. There are some situations such as injury or tetracycline use that require other techniques.
Your teeth can darken gradually over time due to things such as drinking coffee, tea, wine and sodas. Some foods tend to stain the teeth as well, such as blueberries.
The easiest way to whiten teeth is to use a tray system. The system we recommend depends on the initial shade of your teeth and the reason for the staining. We have several systems to choose from. If your staining issue is like most of us, a simple take home tray system will do the job. We use the Tres White system for most of our patients' whitening needs. We will provide you with a take home tray kit to use at home, the bleach is already loaded into the trays. You simply put the gel in the tray and place it on your teeth at home. This method is quick, easy and cost effective.
The Sapphire bleaching system is our in-office 1 hour method of whitening teeth. This method uses a powerful light in combination with a whitening gel made of a peroxide solution. We simply apply the gel to your teeth and activate it with the light. This technique can lighten your teeth up to ten shades in just one hour. This may do the job or it can be combined with custom trays.
Some of our patients choose to use both methods for optimal long-term results. When you come in we can do the in-office boost to start the process while your custom trays are being made. This conditions the enamel so it will take the bleach more readily. You will have your trays and gel at home to keep your smile white. Just use the home trays any time you want to lighten a little.
There are some cases that are just too stubborn and too dark for these other methods, and we have a deep bleaching method for those previously unresponsive cases as well, the Kor Deep Bleaching System. This system requires custom trays and wearing them with the bleach while you sleep. The results are outstanding for those difficult cases that would not respond to other bleaching systems.
With one of our systems you will get results so come in and let us help you achieve your brightest smile ever.
